Line CE – Strawberry Lemon Grisette

Our latest blend is another demonstration of the classic Belgian-style ale which was originally brewed in the Hainaut province to be the beer of the miner.

We brewed the beer with a generous portion of German wheat and pilsner barley, giving a smooth character to allow the tart freshness come out at blend stage. The sour blend was kept subtle at 6% so we could keep more of those saison characters present.

Finally we steeped the beer with generous levels of fresh cut lemon zest and aged the blend with fresh 2017 strawberries, which provided the fructose that conditioned this beer.
