LINES STORY

Lines Brew Co was created in 2016 by our beer enthusiast Tom Newman. At Lines, we brew exotic and blended farmhouse beer, with a vision of becoming fully sustainable, locally sourcing produce and brewing using renewable energy.

All our beer is brewed in Usk, Monmouthshire and is unfiltered, unfined, and unpasteurised.

As evidenced by our name and artwork, our beers follow a structure of Ley lines, or dragon lines, as we call them colloquially. These lines are ancient, straight trackways in the British landscape, or in the newer sense, spiritual and mystical alignments of land forms.

THE LINES SYSTEM

Every beer produced at Lines brew co follows a letter and colour coding based upon its style. These letters fit snuggly within the six peaks of our star log.

Line a) Yellow: Hops (Category: IPA/ Pale)

Line b) White: White beer (Category: Wit/ Weiss)

Line c) Red: Belgian or Continental origin (Category: Saison, abbey, biere de garde, natural lager)

Line d) Brown: Aged in wood barrels or locally harvested yeast (Category: sour, oak aged)

Line e) Green: Beers brewed or aged with fresh fruit (Category: fruit beer)

Line f) Black: Dark beers (Category: Imperial Stout/ Bourbon aged Stout)

ECO-BREWING

Lines Brew Co have a vision of becoming fully sustainable, locally sourcing produce and brewing using renewable energy. This includes reducing carbon emissions through technology and recycling waste locally and using locally grown ingredients such as fruit and grain.

We only use biodegradable and recyclable materials to brew and package our ever changing beers.
